Words à Words is now WBE Canada Certified!!

I am proud to announce that, effective May 14, 2026, Words à Words is now WBE Canada Certified.

As a women-owned sole proprietorship, I have successfully met the eligibility criteria for certification as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE), as required by corporate and government supplier diversity programs.

This certification is not just a badge. Honestly, it is something I did not know I needed until I started understanding what it actually means for a business like mine.

Let me explain. As a sole proprietor, every part of Words à Words carries my name : the clients, the assignments, the decisions, the late nights, the mistakes, and the wins.

There is no team to hide behind, no partner to split the weight with. It is mine, fully, in every sense. The WBE Canada certification puts an official frame around that reality. It does not just recognize the interpreting and translation services I provide; it recognizes the business I have built around them, and the person who built it.

Practically speaking, this opens real doors. Supplier diversity networks, connections with corporations and government organizations that are actively looking to work with certified women-owned businesses, and a stronger presence in procurement opportunities across Canada and North America. For a business that has been built twice from scratch — once in Algeria with Glossic, and again here in Canada with Words à Words — that kind of access is not a small thing.

But beyond the practical, what this certification gives me is clarity and legitimacy on paper for what was already true in practice. I know what I own. I know what I have built. I know what it took. This is just one more official way of saying so — and I am glad to finally have it.
